Hyperbaric Chamber Oxygen Therapy

A broad spectrum of health benefits

Mild hyperbaric chamber oxygen therapy offers a multitude of health benefits. Also known as mild HBOT, these chambers function as versatile oxygen delivery systems. People seek this form of treatment to quickly and naturally generate oxygen-rich blood that the body absorbs for improved responses and a better quality of life.

Brief History of HBOT

In addition to food and water, oxygen is a primary source of energy for the body – this has been known for generations.

Oxygen therapy itself began in the late 1950s and has since been used to treat a variety of conditions, most notably carbon monoxide poisoning, gangrene, post-cardiac arrest, and stroke. Portable oxygen generators for home use emerged in the 1970s.

Early hyperbaric chambers were archaic, imposing metal apparatuses that were primarily used to treat divers with decompression sickness and suffering from the “bends.” Today’s hyperbaric chambers are much more comfortable and versatile, often featuring next-generation technology for continuous air flow management and patient monitoring.

How It Works

Once inside a pressurized hyperbaric chamber, a person inhales oxygen at higher-than-atmospheric pressure. The system steadily increases the oxygen level to a specific pressure, similar to experiencing an aircraft cabin pressurizing. HBOT machines deliver oxygen to the body to generate hyperoxia, an excess supply of oxygen that triggers a wide range of beneficial physiological benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)

What is a Hyperbaric Chamber?

A Hyperbaric Chamber is a medical device specially designed to deliver oxygen at a pressure higher than the normal atmospheric. It increases the concentration and availability of this gas in the blood plasma.

Is Your Hyperbaric Chamber Safe?

Yes! All safety protocols are followed with each therapy session. Unlike other hyperbaric chambers, we pressurize with ambient air in circulation, and oxygen is administered through a mask, so there is no risk of interference with diverse types of textile or therapeutic materials made of metal. Additionally, our chamber has a triple security system that safeguards against operator error or machine malfunction.

How Does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Work?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive medical treatment that involves breathing in high concentrations of oxygen in a pressurized chamber.

Oxygen is obtained through a mask. This generates strong hyperoxia. Hyperoxia produces beneficial physiological effects that at different levels and in different tissues simultaneously.

What are the Benefits of Mild and Medium-Pressure Oxygen Therapy?

New medium pressure technology is efficient and does not carry the risks of high-pressure hyperbaric chambers. However, both technologies have similar performance. In neurology and other designations, positive effects have been achieved through mild pressures with higher/more pressurized levels of oxygen not necessary.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the treatment?

Make sure your skin is clean. Do not apply any lotions, creams, or makeup before your session, and stop using any products that might irritate your skin 2-3 days before. You must also avoid tanning, including with self-tanners. You may be advised to shave the area before your treatment. Remove all jewelry around the area being treated.
